Gelato Tweetup

I went to another social media event last night, and this time dragged Joe along with me. It was a fun night, and it was great that Joe got to finally meet one of my coworkers. Even though this particular event didn't serve wine (whaaa?), they did serve authentic Italian pastries and gelato. The event was sponsored by Gelatiamo, and they unveiled a new flavor - raspberry honey cream. (I didn't care too much for it, but Joe ate two bowls, so he gave it a thumbs up.)

It was held at Microsoft Studios, so we also got a tour of the facility. It was really interesting. I had no idea about all the things they did there. They had a few studios that they filmed in, they had voice over rooms, and millions of dollars worth of equipment. I kept telling Joe to watch me, because I have a tendency to knock things over. I'm clumsy that way.

I love Seattle because it seems like there is always something like this going on. Tonight we are headed to another event - a Muttmixer in downtown Seattle put on by City Dog Magazine. Ava will be attending as well!

Jackson's Monthly Playdate

Jackson had his monthly playdate on Saturday and had a great time as always! They have switched things around since we went there last (we missed last month) and they have a great new play area and fun toys. We were the first to arrive, and Jackson had a chance to explore the new digs in detail.

He LOVED the little play gym they had set up. I swear, when we finally get a yard, I'm buying one of these for him. I know it's crazy, buying a play set for a dog, but he so loved it! He was going in and out of the little tunnels and checking it all out. Too cute!

I played ball with him a little and he got tired and laid down. Seriously, no other dogs had showed up yet!

The other dogs finally showed up and Jackson did really well playing with all of them. Of course, he tried to hump them at times (we really need to break him of that!) but all was well.

I'm hoping Joe will be able to join us for the July meetup - our last one. It's just so fun to see Jack having so much fun!

Jackson's Monthly Playdate

Finally - a beautiful sunny day!

Today was great. I just got back from taking Jackson to his monthly playdate with the Bethany Friendly Dogs Meetup Group. He had a ball! It was sunny and warm and a tons of dogs showed up. And although Jackson kept mounting this sweet little Aussie mix named Hobbs, it was a pretty successful playdate.

And he needed this. He has had cabin fever BAD over the last few weeks. And I spent most of the afternoon just turning my face up to the sun and soaking it all in. It's amazing what a little Vitamin D will do for you!

Jackson Gets a Playdate

I joined a "Friendly Dogs" meetup group and Jackson and I went on our first playdate today! It was in Bethany, about 1/2 hour from us, at this doggie daycare that had a large open yard for the dogs to roam in. There were a lot of dogs there and even though it was one of the COLDEST days yet, we had a good time.

Jackson immediately navigated to the only two small dogs there. Maybe he missed his sister?

Being social.

We've been bad parents and haven't really taken him to the dog park or out with other dogs in a while. He needs that, and he really liked being at the playdate. I got a couple videos of him playing. He's such a good dog!
