I'm thinking about switching to Wordpress. It seems like the thing to do right now, and as I got to thinking about it, I realized that all these ship-jumpers have a point. Blogger is limiting. The upload format is frustrating. Spacing and other elements always seem to go haywire. And it's starting to really bug me.
Plus, I help my mom with her Wordpress blog and so I've already become used to what it has to offer. And I'm jealous. And I don't want to be jealous of my mom anymore. :)
My only concerns: Should I try to transfer all posts to the new blog? Or should I just start fresh on the new platform and build from there?
Anyone done this recently? Advice? Thoughts?

ugh... I'm feeling the same thing! I have 3 blogs (only 2 that I post on, and one is very rarely) on blogger so I'm just so used to blogger. And its so easy. Let me know what you decide to do!
ReplyDeleteI got set up with Go Daddy & they have it set up so they transfer everything over for you. It seems daunting at first, but honestly, it's not that bad. I would transfer all your posts to Wordpress- again, they do it for you so it's no worries.
ReplyDeleteOne thing- you want (I imagine) Wordpress.org, not Wordpress.com- .com is the free one.

I know what you mean about Blogger... uploading images and arranging them properly is definitely a pain in the butt!

I have a few issues with Wordpress, like linking, but none that compare to what I've heard with Blogger. Sounds like Shauna answered your question about transferring. Good luck Heather!
